We need your help to improve Jonesboro!!!

"A Complete Street is safe, and feels safe, for all users. The majority of States and hundreds of local jurisdictions have adopted Complete Streets Policies, and FHWA is supporting these transportation agencies to plan, implement and evaluate equitable streets and networks that prioritize safety, comfort, and connectivity to destinations for all people who use the street network. Complete Streets serve pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation users, children, older individuals, individuals with disabilities, motorists, and freight vehicles." - Federal Highway Administration

The Town of Jonesboro, the Jackson Parish Police Jury, local businesses, and concerned citizens have teamed up to apply for a grant opportunity that will help to provide safe sidewalks, crosswalks, and ADA compliant access throughout our town.  Please let us know what barriers you have faced in getting safely from one place to another by foot, bike, or wheelchair. Stop by one of our local businesses and pick up a map to fill out so you can be a part in making our town safer for everyone.

The map below will have pictures of all of the areas that are in need of improvements.  Click on the red icons to see the problems that were brought to our attention in that area.
